HALTON REGION-The Ontario government is providing Halton Healthcare Services Corporation with an additional $12,161,500 in operating funding for 2026-27, supporting the delivery of high-quality health-care services to patients and families across Halton Region.

The funding increase was announced as part of Ontario’s broader investment of more than $1.1 billion in additional hospital funding for 2026-27, as outlined in Budget 2026: A Plan to Protect Ontario.

The investment includes an up to four per cent increase in base and targeted hospital funding, which will support high-quality care, increased accountability, system efficiency and improved access to life-saving treatments.

The additional funding for Halton Healthcare is in addition to the funding the hospital received last year, continuing Ontario’s historic investment in hospitals for a fourth consecutive year.

Ontario’s investments are helping hospitals strengthen services and support frontline health-care teams so that patients can access the care they need, where and when they need it. For growing communities like those across Halton Region, these investments will help ensure residents can continue to access high-quality care close to home.
